"Commentor" do you read the minutes of the county legislative meetings on a regular basis? If you do which I doubt then you than you would have never stated "absolutely nothing". You should read them, very informative.

Notice the way he worded his pledge. Judeye jumped right on it like the blind ones usually do. Expect Marcia,Dcroakernig, the robot and others to follow suit soon.

If you are satisfied with someone with no management experience, vote for Johnson. He is a retired deputy sheriff who owns run down adult homes given to him by his parents.

Here's a thought....Horrigan has been a county legislator have you been satisfied with what he and the rest of his bunch have done. If your answer is yes then vote for him. Here's another thought.... why have the same old same old? Why not try someone new? What do you have to lose???? For those of you who swore off voting for incumbents Horrigan fits the definition. Has been involved with Mayville politics. Has a mindset, cronies on the legislature, etc. I say try it you might like it!!!!

"If Chautauqua County does not post gains in its jobs or workforce three years into my first term, I will not seek election or accept my party's nomination for re-election as county executive," Johnson said. Gee somehow this jogs my aging memory???Ahhh now I remember, the 2008 Presidential campaign promise our President made almost verbatim! Ever heard the old saying "fool me once"-----

This is a great commitment. It is focused clearly on what we need in this ares..JOBS.

Jobs that will pay wages that can support a family. Jobs that will attract our young folks so they are not forced to leave. Jobs that open possibilities and opportunities.

I am willing to take a chance to see just how many jobs he is able to attract to this area. what do we have to lose..if he fails..he will not run again.

Clown,Your examples just go to show how much we need a change in leadership. Your comment about his wife is uncalled for. From what I hear, she is someone who knows how to do her job and she seems to be respected by everyone. Let's leave this race about the issues.

Johnson unless you are going to lower taxes in New York State(which you have no chance at doing) looks like 3 years will be your career in politics. NRG is next, Cotts and Carriage House are after that and already Lake Shore Hospital. Turn out the lights when you leave Ron.
