October 18, 2013

Is there anything that can be done to save the Lake Shore Health Care Center in Irving? While local elected officials are saying all the right things about attempting to assist, the facility was on......

I blame the structure of local government for making it impossible for any business to grow and prosper. Our loss of population caused by excessive taxation is at the foundation of all of our economic problems.

This did not happen overnight it has been a long time coming. Did the board of directors take any positive action to prevent the shut down? Nope. Kind of reminds me of politics. Why be proactive when being reactive receives a lot more press.

Defending FOXNews? HAH! That speaks volumes!

IMO, the media in this country has lost all credibility. There's no more objective reporting when it involves politics. It's all geared toward promoting the political beliefs of media owners, hoping to influence voters thru biased, sensationalized, and even downright false reporting.

Skewed ads paid for by candidates are expected, but media owners have forsaken objectivity in favor of their own personal views and mislead the public daily. This will never change b/c DC controls the FCC. You want to be informed, but NO media source can be trusted anymore.

PR24601,

Giving facts to a liberal is like trying to teach a pig to sign, it wastes your time and they just get annoyed.

Always Fox news when at a loss for factual rebuttals hey Dcroakernig? I say you give Ron Johnson a jingle as he says he can make the County home self sustaining. He could save Lake Shore with the same wave of his magic wand!

Dcronlg, I never watch Fox news, or any cable news for that matter. I find them all, left or right, to be mind-numbing in their complete and utter stupidity.

You cannot watch made for entertainment "telejournalism" and get a clue about anything. You have to read, unfortunately the AP most of the time, but you read, read, read, determine what's fact and what's not - a lot of opinion inserted into "reporting" these days - and formulate your own views.

It is obvious that readers like judeye have bought the leftist agenda hook, line, and sinker, and have no actual opinion of their own. They can only spew the party line as they have no original thought to put forward.

PR -- you are equally as idiotic in your alleged ignorant ideological spewing as those you accuse and villianize. Indeed, on her worst days, Judeye often puts forth and shares much more thought, research and analyses than you ever do on your best days.

You are Fox News acolyte, which research and data have indicated, time and time again, that you are the most misinformed of all persuasions. Deal with it.

judeye, you, marcia, and other the other liberal dolts here should really learn to read. It's amazing what you can learn when you read. It's been known to prevent ailments like "appearing a fool".

Or you can all continue to spew opinions first and then collect facts later, if you even bother with the facts. But who needs those right? Facts? Facts?!?

Playoffs?

judeye, can you read? I think many others have pointed out the new ER was built on a state grant. You know.. the free money the liberal largess decides to hand out each year. Use it if you got it right? No one has accused NYS of being fiscally responsible, why would this come as a surprise.

I wonder why they spent so much money..a million and a half I think...on a new ER room last year if they were in such financial trouble?

Why did they not go to the employees and staff and discuss the finances, asking for their suggestions on how they might cut spending and increase revenues? (we all know that the direct workers most likely are the ones who really would know how to do this best)

Why did this come as a sudden surprise to all involved?

Something does not seem quite right. Wished this paper would try to really do investigative reporting to get real answers to these questions.
