October 20, 2013

By DEANN NELSON Did you know that a grand scale, national experiment — that’s the whole country — is being performed on your children without your parental consent? Your children are serving as......

Deann, the sooner you realize that its the function of govt, under democratic teacher union control , to make ignorant and stupid kids as replacements, the better your mental health will be. If the govt and its liberal unions were actualy for choice, other than an abortion, we would have vouchers for schools.Since we dont have them and Holder is suing to stop LA from implementing them, we can ony conclude that Obama wants stupid uneducated kids. they have that already in the cities and they vote democratic. Of course many in govt send their kids to private schools. Thats ok, its choice for them, but not anyone else. and they support green energy ! So while the libs enjoy choice, they force substandard education on the masses. Follow the money the libs say. It leads to the teachers unions.

I would like to see the sourse of your information. I was under the impression that common core standards dealt with making sure all students learned the same material, which seems like a good goal in my opinion. From what I read, they have to be acceptaed by each state, so there is stil local control. Just how is teaching all student's the same thing social engineering?

"Diane Ravitch, a former assistant U.S. secretary of education who was appointed to office by both Clinton and George H.W. Bush, recently changed her mind about Common Cause. Ravitch now refutes claims by Obama and Common Core that the standards were created by the states and voluntarily adopted by them. She writes in The Washington Post, "They were developed by an organization called Achieve and the National Governors Association, both of which were generously funded by the Gates Foundation. There was minimal public engagement in the development of the Common Core. Their creation was neither grassroots nor did it emanate from the states." Instead, Common Core is being driven by policymakers in D.C****mon Core is set up in such a way that it can hardly be called voluntary. The Obama administration's grant program offers "Race to the Top" federal educational grants – which come from stimulus funds - to states if their school systems adopt preferred Obama polici

This Common Core Initiative sounds like public ED's version of the nationally accepted manufacturing standards policy called ISO 9001. Companies that earn this distinction are recognized for it, certified, and are generally contracted with more often than those that are not.

notice what you so called learned posters miss over and over. there is no competition for schools, none. yet our learned leaders send their kids to private schools. What arrogance. Hey deann, it is all part of the govts ban on underage thinking, like drinking. One cannot think, one must follow the regime. Choice is only for abortions. ISO good for business ? ISO makes one more stupid than ever, following useless and mind numbing regulations.Look at Japan, once thought to be the leader in ISO and quality, they were so stupid they built their nuke plants primed for disaster. And it happened folks. Japan was thought to overtake the US and it failed miserably due to quality, the deming approach and its useless math.the posters here are virtual idiots, knowing nothing.Deann, you are just supposed to say yessir govt, yessir. just like the unlearned posters here.

marcia, next to judeye and christopher, you are the most clueless poster here. How is teaching kids the same thing social engineering ? Are you nuts ? Learning disabled ? All we here is diversity again and again from liberals like yourself. We need women and minorities to prosper they say ? Like thats happened when they were in control. From PBS, missed repeatedly by the posters here, intelligence is malleable. It can be raised or lowered. The govt is bent on lowering it and the libs want more ! You people wnat forced ignorance ! Yes ! they called the slavs stupid for less.It must be part of that education you received. The libs hate america, twist its founding to suit the libs needs and we are supposed to accept this ?

OMG another conspiracy!?? If Steiner is against it then i am for it. I like how American says that governors were involved but the states gave no input. What? Once again, if it was up to you radical righties we would go back to the one room school house, blackboards and corporal punishment. You can't go back ding dongs, you want it to be like it was in the 50 and 60s, its not going to happen. All you retirees think that any change is unacceptable, well guess again. You guys aren't in charge any more. Please go cash your SSI check and leave the younger folks alone.

"notice what you so called learned posters miss over and over. there is no competition for schools, none. yet our learned leaders send their kids to private schools" Steiner, you say there is not competition and then you mention private schools! Isn't that competition? You are confusing me as usual, I will consult with my robertbots and see what they say LOL

Hey robert, you just proved how stupid you are . yes, you did. Our leaders send their kids to private schools because they can afford it. they can afford to pay for the same thing twice.Very few city folk or any folk in particular can afford to pay school taxes and then fork over extra money for private tuition . How could you miss something so obvious. Stupidity robert, thats a liberal. Or rather cunning. They say like you did so called pithy replies, but in reality you sink yourself. Like commentor did with his list of gal philosophers saying how gals were philosophers. In the list, a gal admitted that philosophy was dominated by , guess who, Men. So robert, if you can afford to pay two sets of tuition then you are fortunate, most peope cannot due that. Obama hiked taxes and fuel has been expensive since he took office.Nice going robert.

This is for marcia again. She says, how can teaching the same thing to kids be social engineering ? You gotta be kidding. Any invention is a negation of what everyone believes. I know cuz i have done a number of inventions. So marcia, what you are saying is i as a liberal dont want any inventions or science, everyone believes the same. Truth is thats what libs and edpecially gals have done since the founding of the country, not much, they believed the same. Marcia, how you could miss such a thing is akin to roberts comment on schools. You libs lack critical thinking but abound in criticism and name calling.Marcia, i hope you were a teacher and are at least a member of the LWV. you libs are indeed fun to read. Always making fools of yourselves.

robert you missed Eric Holders suit against Louisiana for its voucher program. Instead of school taxes paid twice, once for the liberal teachers and again for a school of the parents choice, the parents would get money from the state to send their kids to the school of their choice. Yes, choice instead of an abortion for our scientific gals at the LWV. ! So robert if i am stupid, then Holder and the teachers unions he is beholden too are also stupid. Great going robert. we have not heard from the golden libs, judeye, christopher and cronig trumpeting about liberal largess and how the govt did everything . Yo libs are wrong across the board. You are too ignorant or stupid to know it.Hey commentor, we need a list of great women in science so they can be dwarfed by the guys accomplishments. Please post such list, for our liberal gals.
