Maybe the CCLeg should consider abolishing the Chamber. It would be a tough decision, but I wonder if Todd, his wife and all their extended family & friends would oppose it.

"special interests should not deter elected officials from good decision making." Do you mean special interests like the Chamber of Commerce? Or special interests like the families of the people who actually reside at the CCH? I thing the second, which mr. Tranum seems to think do not matter, are a more important consideration in this instance. They are the ones who have everything to lose in this proposal.

I found it odd that the chamber chimed in on this subject. I do believe the home should be sold as well as the two airports. Neither of these should be taxpayer funded in any way.

I am curious as to why the Chamber is voicing in on this decision?

"Our mission is to create a business environment in the region where our members can thrive."

How would the sale of the CC help their members thrive? In fact, could not the CC be a drawing point for businesses to relocate here?

Then again the Chamber was also in support of the so called "low income' housing project proposed to be built in the town of Dunkirk. The one that would NOT have brought jobs into our area. Rather in the long run would have cost us, the taxpayers, much money.
