I have served as deputy county clerk under Sandy Sopak for nearly 10 years....

Perhaps the Captain missed a couple of things-Ms Sopak indorsed Mr Barmore, and Ms Kaminski acknowledged that she was putting her job on the line did she not? Why is the Captain asking if the deputy serves at the pleasure of the Clerk? That question goes back to my well educated, informed, and rounded electorate. People who assume are part and parcel as to why this country is in trouble. The old"change you can believe in" snake oil salesman syndrome!

Tracie has just contradicted Sandy's contention that this office is not politically connected by publicly endorsing one candidate over another. I think Tracie should've kept her mouth shut and let the voters decide.

Is the deputy clerk an appointed position, filled at the discretion of the clerk? Tracie wrote that she was asked by both candidates to stay on as deputy, so I must assume it IS an appointed position. If Lori wins and decides to replace Tracie, remember, she brought it on herself.

Clear, concise, factual and logical. You couldn't ask for a better assessment of this race and the choice is totally clear. Vote Barmore.

Excellent commentary and exactly why I stated what I did about Tracie being the "linchpin" in the CC operation.

Kudos to you. It's one thing to support a candidate and quite another to put your job on the line. I am in agreement with you. Cornell has NEVER been in the clerks office?? Not surprised. Just put with all the things she has not done to qualify for this job. It would be a real tragedy if she were elected. VOTE BARMORE!!!!
