Shame on the LWV. Injecting a partisan view detracts from your impartiality. Obviously you lean or clearly are working for democrat candidates. Take the mask off, ugh you did.

Lots of double talk coming from Ms. Cornell on different issues today. I am personally aware of students and visitors all receiving a tour of the Clerk's office regardless of their age or political affiliation. The staff at the clerks office is helpful to anyone requesting it. Debates run in an unprofessional and biased manner should not be tolerated. Kudos for Sandy for calling out this situation. Imagine more "politicians" like Sandy that work diligently and increase revenue for the county. I do not have a political affiliation, but would vote for a person of Sandy's caliber in either party.

Obviously Ms. Cornell did not ask Ms. Sopak for a tour or meet with Ms. Sopak, which shows a total lack of commitment. The moderator for the League of Women's Voters should not have interjected her personal views, or attempt to justify why Ms. Cornell has admittedly failed to step foot in the County Clerk's office! We need a candidate who is truly focused on operating the County Clerk's office and is taking the time to understand what is actually involved.

It's not political that Cornell chose not to ever go the County Clerk's office before she ran for the office. She made it political by blaming the clerk's office rather than admit she doesn't care about the job, just the title. I'm not sure how anyone can responsibly support someone who has vowed to make changes to a system she has never seen and knows nothing about.

Ms. Cornell clearly implied on Tuesday that it was not Ms. Sopak who told asked her not to come until after the election. She had nothing but praise for Ms Sopak. It is clear that someone else it trying to politicize this.

That's political sidestepping. She said she wasn't welcome there and Sandy Sopak is the County Clerk responsible for making people feel welcome. The bottom line is, Lori chose not to find out 1st hand what the County Clerk's office does and how they do it so, to cover for her lack of interest in the job, she claims she isn't welcome there. If someone says they aren't welcome in my home, do they have to say I said they weren't welcome or would you assume I said they weren't welcome? You're right, Sandy does deserve better than being blamed, even by insinuation, of being political and not welcoming her when it was Lori who decided it was more important to be a campaigner than find out about the actual job.

Lori did not named Sandy as her reason for not touring the office. As everyone in this county should, Lori has stated she has respect for all that Sandy has done. Let's stop this and not make her last few days of public service uncomfortable. She deserves better.

League of Women's Voters = arm of Democratic Party. What more proof does one need?

So much for Cornell's "I have the utmost respect for County Clerk Sandy Sopak" speech. Last time I checked, committee meetings and legislature meetings were held in the same building as the County Clerk's office. She couldn't walk the few extra steps to the office so she trashes Sandy Sopak? I think it's clear she's not interested in the job, she's interested in the title. enough of the fancy campaigning and get to the basics. Who wants the job of County Clerk?

Good for you, Sandy. Shameful to attemt to tarnish the outgoing clerk for political gain. Somebody needs to remind Ms. Barmore that County Clerk is not a political position.
