Hey dennis, the military industrial complex started with woodrow wilson. Keep the troops home and close bases. How are we gonna retaliate ? cruise missiles, aircraft carriers ? We will be at a disadvantage. Obama cut the military back. Income tax ? another democratic invention, by Wilson. He prayed for the confederacy when little ! We had consumpton taxes, like on liquor, but the gals messed that up with prohibition. So income taxes were raised. thanks gals. Put issues to a vote, that is mob rule and tyranny of the majority. We would have slavery as the south had all the votes.letting gals vote would be a mistake as they do not understand philosophy, science or their own default settings, straight from the womb. Guys gave us everything except babies. We went home after ww1,ww2, afghanistan, only to return at a delay in mobilization;. Nukes saved south korea as both truman and Ike threatened north korea with them. Mad people require unusual techniques. this is forgotten now.

dennis, can you imagine the howl from the libs if we had a vote on abortion ? Or school vouchers ? The local libs like christopoher and judeye would be in fits. the govt did everything in reference to education, aka you did not build that, the govt did , with union labor ! war on women, etc.choices, choices, but only for abortions ! the govt just mandated what we have in health care and the libs support it.what you propose is never gonna happen. Rich people bad ?no way, they gave us what we take for granted. Oil, electricity, radio, electronics. They should have special priviliges. Poor people are generally less intelligent and will only vote for their own self interests. look at the inner cities for proof. Women, they missed out n or tried to stop several major money makers, booze, petrochem and electronics, multiple trillions here gals , you missed that and then complain they make 77cents for every buck a guy makes.those gals, ever goofing it up.

hey dennis, the rich robber barons bailed out the US govt at least once. They had the money . I love rich people ! The robber barons amassed so much wealth, the govt took notice and anti trusted them almost out of business or at least drew trillions by now out of the economy. Those activists, ever stupid.putting things like that to a vote would be a huge mistake. intelligence is where you find it. the robber barrons had it. The rest of the population did not. we cannot let people like that run the system or we will get detroit after detroit, liberal success stories in america.

Really? Slavery made this country great? So much so, that it took a civil war to stop it? Unregulated capitalism made this country so great? So much so that it took a Great Depression and a Great Recession to correct occasionally to correct the concentrated 1% greed impacting the other 99%? You want more? I have all day, all week or an entire year to refute, point by point, this silly notion that we're great.

We're good, we're better than others, but there are far to many examples where others are better than we are.

We have and from the beginning, were supposed to have the system we do, for better or worse. Right now, we're in the worse place. Soon the pendulum will swing the other way.

Get over it and enjoy the ride.

Yes Steiner I can imagine the vote on abortion. Your a male with a penis women have the children yet you seem to be all knowing in so many areas even the womb. Abortion is a terrible thing but you nose and vapid opinion is from a male perspective knowing very, very, very little of womans lives. That being said your Rushism are just as lost as you and he are.

Okay, we lied about you being able to keep your present coverage, and we lied about you being able to choose your own doctor, and we lied about you being able to see specialists without referrals, and we lied about premiums not going up, and we lied about not imposing taxes, and we lied about the act paying for itself, and we lied about the website being ready, and we lied about instituting mandates, and we lied about the penalties, and we lied about the deadlines, and we lied about...well, just about everything. Now, what are you going to do about it? Not much, after all, the law is the law and we can't just change it...well, we could but that would prove the Republicans were right, so shut up, drink the kool-aid and trust to us how best to manage your lives.

I love the selective amnesia, or rather militant ignorance of the Deliverance Twins -- "Republicans were right".

They were soooo right to shut down the government under Bill Clinton -- they lost big time. They were sooo right to impeach Bill Clinton -- they lost big time; he's more popular than ever. They were sooo right When they had W and both houses of Congress: two fraudulent wars, massive deficits, $32T in unfunded liabilities, and economic calamity not seen since the Great Depression even with massive tax cuts (proving supply side econ is seriously stupid...) -- and they lost big time. And now, the GOP tries the shutdown thing again (as in they never learn) and they lost big time again.

I could go on and on and on, but what's the point? no one can't put in what the Almighty has left out of the Deliverance Twins.

and the Deluded Crony is back. Exactly what part of my statement is wrong dipstick? You can whine all day about your hate for fiscal responsibility but you can't argue that they lied about every point I listed. You are such a party troll, you would make Goring look like an amatuer.

And troll? Your beloved democrats voted to fund those two "fraudulent" wars along with all the items you whine about, you are pathetic. I'd feel sorry for you but there is no reason to, you believe the lies and are to gullible to feel anything but contempt for...now if you could grow a backbone and stand up for the country, rather than cheer it's dismantling, I might feel a little sorry for your lack of intelligence.

Wow, every time I see Dcronlg's name I dread the impending headache I'm about to get. First off, as Mike indicates, Dems voted in favor of both wars, while your beloved Dems pushed through the nightmare that is O-care with NO Republican votes. Also, enough with the "Repubs shut down the gov't" delusion. It was the Dems that made that decision. Tell me, if I were to offer to take you to the grocery store and buy groceries, but then told you that you had one item that I objected to and would pay for everything else, whose fault would it be if you walked out empty handed? Yours, just as it is the Dems who turned their back on full funding of the gov't, except for 1 item; O-care. These Libs spin so much they make the Tasmania Devil dizzy.

Mike, you're just a walking Fox "News" sandwich board, that's what's wrong! If you really looked at the ACA and how it's doing, you'll discover the website problems, while partly on the administration's roll-out end, are mostly a result of uncooperative Republican governors. You DO get to keep your insurance--unless it was so bad it covered precious little, and in the event of a catastrophe, the taxpayers would've had to pay your care. Nobody lied about that. The only drastic changes are that now insurance companies have to follow rules that make sense in a civilized country. Geez, what a travesty!

Bad News, the government shutdown was entirely manipulated by the Canadian citizen (and illegally elected senator) Ted Cruz and his Tea Party minions. I don't know how you can possibly conclude the party that desired the legislation in question subsequently turned around and wanted to shut it down. Oh, and if a Democratic senator was a self-proclaimed Canadian citizen, would you be OK with that? I doubt it.

By the way, Bear, maybe your buddy Teddy should get counseling since he's the one who said "I will renounce my Canadian citizenship." We're still waiting...Would you be OK with a Democratic alien serving as a Senator? I doubt it.

How can anyone defend the President when he said over and over and over again that "if you like your plan you can keep it period",and "if you like your doctor you can keep him or her period". There were no footnotes after the word "period",no disclaimers after the word "period" either! He lied,he knew he lied "PERIOD"! He intentionally mislead millions of Americans with his oft repeated lies,"PERIOD"

UnTruth, the only thing weak here is you. You have no facts whatsoever. First off, Cruz has dual citizenship because his mother is a US Citizen. It does not matter where he was physically born, it is automatic. He is not an "alien" like the millions of illegals that your idol wants to grant amnesty to. And as for facts, I already gave them to you, but like the rest of the Libs, you're incapable of rational thought. What part of my example was so hard for you to understand? It's really quite simple. The Dems chose to close the gov't rather than accept full funding for every program, except one. PERIOD, as your Liar in Chief would say..

Stop the name calling and finger pointing, it's 51 to 49, and this is probably one of the last chances you will get before the 49% take over and it will be too late.

It's too bad you conservatives cut your teeth on the real "Liar-in-Chief"--George "There Are Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq and Iraqis perpetrated 9-11" Bush. You are unable to discern real danger from Faux News danger. As for Cruz, there is wiggle room in the natural born clause. American mother, but her residency length casts doubt about Teddy's claim to fulfilling the natural born clause. The Supreme Court hasn't been tested, and if Teddy boy really is your nominee (God help us), his citizenship should become an issue. He certainly casts doubt, whereas you T.P birthed fruitcakes had no reason to doubt Obama's citizenship. Does that cut through your cerebral murk?

When the issues around the ACA settle, when the media--which are preponderantly sensationalistic right now--settle, the overwhelming benefits of the legislation will be what stands out. As for who lies--well, people who live in glass houses...("Iraqi evildoers perpetrated 9-11")

No Habitual Liar. I wasn't and never will be alright with that. Nor Bush's lying to get the US to attack Iraq. But replacing one lying weasel with another is NOT a step forward like you claim with so much smugness.
