Rosebud, the money that is donated to most cancer funds goes to cancer research, unfortunately it does not go to paying for treatment unless you go to a charitable or Catholic hospital.

What happens to all the money we donate to the Cancer Funds. I know when I found out I had Breast cancer, Roswell wouldn't even give me an Appointment because I had no insurance (Except the Medicare part A) . I finally had to go to St. Vincent's in Erie & hope I could get the operation paid for some way. At least they would treat me on credit. Yet I still have the Cancer Society calling me on the phone asking for a donation. Bet you know what I tell them. The only thing I got from the Cancer Society was a bunch of 800 numbers that gave me another bunch of 800 numbers.
