jo1952 you are right about the personal attacks. They contribute nothing to the discussion and I think most of them would be eliminated if posters were required to sign their real names to their comments. I also have to wonder how the "highest rated users" are chosen. Maybe it should be based on the total number of "agrees" on a given day and that might already be the method.

The ACA is just another welfare scheme, mandating wealth transfer from healthy people to the sickies and freeloaders. Think back to what the libs aid. Insurance rates will go down, you can keep your plan if you like it. All lies folks. Christopher, judeye and cronig, we need your response here. for once again i have listed facts. was obama an idiot for saying what he did paul ? ACA is a huge failure and can never work. But that never stopped the libs. the libs think the govt invented everything, including the internet. wrong on all counts, guilty as charged. mass stupidity on a national or even international scale libs ! Thats you Paul !

hey jo, tolerance from the left ? hardly, witness wisconsin and the recall election by the libs over right to work laws. Now they are back with court orders on scott walker and friends. Whats the crime ? disagreeing with a liberal. Libs like the judeyes, christophers here are tolerant as long as you agree with them. Disagree, then the fangs show and the fight begins. Ever watch the news jo?

From PBS last night, Lincoln and the telegraph in the civil war. . Did the govt invent that posters ? Nope. Lincoln was the first info age president. Morse and others invented the telegraph. even the batteries are private invention.you posters miss facts again and again. You miss that i said it is going to get worse under obama care. name calling ? so i call the democrats dumbacrsta. they are ! it is a true statement !. libs, I am very science learned, something i see lacking here. Your faith in the govt is almost godlike. The govt is composed of well meaning, nay that cant be true, cunning people who just want your money. now, how am I wrong here ?

hey jo, the govt did not create the internet or the electronics that make it work, or the electricity that lights it up. You libs are woefully ignorant on everything. Please, the transistor and circuit chip was all done by private enterprise. take away the electricity and it dies for sure. the telegraph system, private enterprise again predates all of this and could be considerd the first internet.private minds again and again, all ignored the the liberals.back to the telegrfaph, every house was to have one . Stuff could be ordered by it. It was replaced by the phone. Bootleggers could noit have done it without the telegrtaph. The first phone call across the US was in 1915. So libs, you are wrong again and again.

ARPANET was built by a civilian company, based on a civilian design developed by a civilian research laboratory. It was a DoD project, funded with government money, but do not confuse that with it having been created by the government. If I buy a hamburger, can I say I made it?

Off topic but a win for the good guys "The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to block controversial Texas abortion restrictions that have been called some of the strictest in the country and have led a dozen abortion clinics in the state to stop performing the procedure."

The first wide area network (WAN) - ARPANET -was built by the Defense Department's Advanced Research Projects Agency, and was the first to use packet switching with TCP/IP routing protocols.

Gore, though, coined the phrase "information superhighway" in 1985 and sponsored several bills both as a Congressman and Senator for telecommunications research.

Well actually I didn't think they were all liberal, I don't believe Dcronlg is. But what does conservative or liberal have to do with anything. I see many of you insulting individuals. Why do you do that? Aren't your arguments enough to carry your opinion> I 9and I'm sure many others) would appreciate more civilized exchanges. Why not discuss the issues instead of the personal attacks? All your responses only attacked more. Is that how you taught your children to act? Is that how your mother's taught you to act?

Joe, she's a left wing liberal and therefore those of her party do not attack or say derogatory things about anyone aligned against them do they jo1952. Calling everyone that opposes them racists, bigots, ignorant, etc. are not considered attacks by the left.

The government didn't create the internet. It was created by private universities, then the government expanded it, and began regulating it. This was all before most people had any idea it even existed. When it began to be used commercially, and evolve into what we know today, the government released control to commercial regulation. Regardless of what Al Gore said. Think about it, they can't even get the Obamacare website running in 2013 and you want to give them credit for building the entire www?

I don't see stangv8, Christopher, judeye, Marcia, PhilJulian or others making personal attacks. This would be a better forum of people would just stick to the issues. Smart people can disagree, you know.

hey posters, its going to get worse via ACA. the employer mandate has yet to kick in. Just wait till those employer provided plans are illegal. Wait till your favorite hospital or doctor is not included. yep folks, thanks to ACA this is all on the horizon. HHS will decide what and when ,the kind of medical care you can receive. Its all there folks. it is just c o ming to light now that the individual mandate has arrived. we will see the biggest degrading of american health since the flu epidemics of the early 20th century. all made possible by your govt and its liberals.this they call success folks.
