I find it interesting they just had an article on the teachers contract being settled for 6 years and no mention of what raises they received. I'd be willing to bet my next two tiny paychecks they got nice fat raises.

I hate to admit it, but Dcronk is ABSOLUTELY correct on this! If the citizens are really all that upset, than vote out and replace the current school board members. It's not a guaranteed lifetime job.

Just because of mob of concerned citizens shows up doesn't mean, despite the overwhelming evidence from balance sheet arithmetic, the mob automatically wins.

The CVCS Board did the right thing -- they allowed their constituents to publicly share their grievances -- but that doesn't mean the Bd is required to believe or act on those grievances. The Bd has the long term viable interests of CVCS to protect. The mob, like the clueless church lady gaggle OBSERVER board, struggle to see beyond the end of their noses.

The voters can send a message at the next elections -- more than likely, the Bd will get re-elected and stay intact.

And that's governing by democracy.
