Hilarious that people are taking the troll, aka Steiner, seriously.

their is noting wrong with either, Robert2,commentor, but complacency is, we believe that it kills the soul "complacency by the watchdogs hurts both taxpayers and beneficiaries"~ Charles Grassley~

Steinernut.....I quote you...." I work with the best, smartest people in the world ! We have access to the best, most expensive analytical machines available. it is like the TV series Bones and all the science stuff they have." If this is true you would have to work in a very big city and state because there sure as h ell isn't any industry like that around this area. That brings up the question....what in God's name are you doing reading the Observer and engaging in comments with the posters here???? Steinernut me thinks you are living in a pretend world. You are only this great scientist in your own mind!!! You probably live in a shack in the boonies and shovel manure and raise pigs.

maybe this will please the topic cop, we wonder if the "flying flamingos" will make an appearance at the rally, and if we are lucky maybe an organ grinder and monkey and Dorothy and her little dog, come on people let's make this an event that no one will ever want to remember

Keep comments pertinent to the question. NRG is dead in the water and no rally on the pier will make any difference. Unless of course you have the concession to sell beer and coffee.

good point Roberta2, you will be like the ant and not the grasshopper, we wonder if Dunkirk is Rim Rock, or the cut out copy, any way you being able to survive with Steiner must be a massive blow to Steiner.s ego.

roberta, you can live like you do because of the work of great chemists and corporations. You did not answer again, how we can live without gas and oil. have a tractor on your farm ? Your stability depends on a continual supply of hydrocarbons , energy in the world. take that away and stabilty goes to chaos.have electric motors on the farm ? ever turn a crank ? so why you revel in your living off the land I and others like me bring stabilty to the world with chemicals and other great ideas. it is you who suckle off the great minds like steiner. I know why you dont answer my pointed questions on energy , you dont have any idea ! You are blissfully ignorant and love it. thank guys like steiner and others for this, we do the work and you think you can live without us, not possible.steiner is darn near ubiquitous in the world. Go to an OR in a hospital and i am their too.you cant see the chemical magic, but it is there.

you're right, hadenough. This issue has NOTHING to do with the jobs lost at NRG if the PSC denies its request to convert. It's the lost tax revenue from NRG, which will severely cripple property owners, businesses, and the public employees who provide basic services. Who's gonna make up these lost millions...homeowners? This may be the final nail in the coffin, and the economic damage WON'T be limited to just the city.

With all these responses to NRG none address the real reason people want the plant to stay open. Actually neither do I. What is the reason? Cheaper electricity? Yeah right. Jobs? Temporary jobs at first then how many full time jobs actually at the plant? 50-60. FAct is that the city and the school needs the money to survive. And Senator Young needs the votes. There will be no cheaper elect rates for the consumer and business. There will be no stopping raises or the hiring of city employees. The schools will respond with firing 50 teachers taking their frustration out on the kids, instead of cutting sports programs. Yes it will get ugly but perhaps that is what the city and schools need so that the people can see just how much money has been wasted over the years. The city has been in decline for years. Taxpayer monies have been spent on buying property that will never be used. Perhaps this is what we need to push the city and school into consolidating services.

A rally on the pier in the middle of winter. Whose idea was that? Snow and ice on the pier possible wind and snow. Brilliant idea. And what is the purpose? To keep NRG open. Ok. Now who will be the beneficiaries of this rally? Senator Young of course. How many jobs will be created? 50? Not a big number for Western New York. Ah the city and the school system will be the big winners. The consumer? We will see an increase in our power bills but that matters not to Senator Young. It's the votes. So let's see how many show up and where they park.

we believe that all the "hot air" that will come out of politicians in attendance will contribute to "global warming", being a man of science, maybe Steiner can clarify and verify

while we appreciate all the technical data being shared here, let's get right to the meat here, rally is noting but a "dog& pony" show to insulate the elected from more public distain and criticism if NRG wins, then their heroes, on the other if NRG loses then public will look on then as vanquished champions of the people and true servants of the masses of which they were elected to be, what a crock

roberta, the libs thought we would run out of food by now, natural gas and oil too.that has not happened. we feed more and have moved away from the idea of one drought away from a mass famine. Yes roberta thats true. all of this is due to chemists and the oil and gas industry. Roberta, habers ammonia from air and then nitrated derivatives were a godsend to the planet.it feeds a chunk of the world. It depends on natural gas. Habers wife suicided over his chemical warfare work. Another deranged woman. The earth is destroyed !we all one ! roberta, you continually make a fool out of yourself with your end of the world scenarios. leave science to the guys like steiner and his strong force machines.

joew, you waste your time on people like roberta. Or christopher , judeye, etc. What is the problem with all you posters ?except joew. You never met anyone that did real hard science for a living. the science where lives are at stake.i and my chemical stuff have saved 10,000 lives. I work with the best, smartest people in the world ! We have access to the best, most expensive analytical machines available. it is like the TV series Bones and all the science stuff they have. all of this is dissed here. we could take pictures at 2500 times mag to see what we were looking at. analyze chemicals to the parts per billion if need be.joew, the posters here ignore always the great boom from fracking where water is scarce out west. the US is the major player in natural gas now. the people like roberta thought we would run out.ignorance on life is rampant in the US.
