consider this JD and his crack staff maybe competing with the star, and enquirer, with future Observer headlines like "man bites dog" after all the real issues are never challenged, they are given lip service at best, grandma used to say this paper "is not fit to wrap fish in", granny's insight was way ahead of it's time ,and yes we know Joe if we don't like it cancel the subscription.................

If the County officials advised driving unsafely, at least that would be worthy of the front page.

we wonder how many comments would be made to a story with the title "County authorities encourage unsafe driving" as it has been said in a by gone time" that would really light up the switch board"

Seriously? Gee, thanks county officials and OBSERVER. I'll put your warnings right up there with the onslaught of warnings we'll be hearing about the hidden dangers of Thanksgiving dinner...wash your hands after handling the raw bird, don't eat fuzzy blue leftovers, avoid the artery clogging gravy and if in doubt, DO call the butterbird hotline for instructions on how not to kill your family with thanksgiving dinner. Drive safely, and above all, enjoy! Good God.

Yes, VERY GOOD ADVICE, certainly worthy of the Front Page!!! I mean really, were they going to recommend UNSAFE driving!? How about recommending warm clothing when it's cold, don't leave that one out! Or, since it's Thanksgiving and people will be doing lots of cooking, recommending the use of pot holders when removing hot items from the oven? There's another biggie! NRG is in trouble, we have a local hospital closing for no reason with 460 jobs gone in the process, and THIS is all The Observer could put on the FRONT PAGE!?

Good advice indeed. When behind the wheel, the single most important task at hand is.. driving the car. That should be obvious, but often doesn't appear to be so. We live in rural ChauCo, life should be at a slower pace already. Relax, leave plenty of time, and drive your car. Is that so hard?
