There’s fiction with fracking foes

November 30, 2013

A recent article about the League of Women Voters sounding off before the Portland Town Board about the dangers of fracking continues more of the same ill-advised and ill-informed science fiction......

A VERY close friend of mine lives in the Wilkesbury area and receives a lovely check every month due to allowing Fracking on his property. Last summer when I rode my bike down for a visit, I saw Fracking going on everywhere. Now, that being said, I'm not sure how that qualifies me to say Fracking is safe and good, like you did, but I guess we differ that way. Woods were being torn apart, roads ruined, dust and noise, and yes, pools of water from the Fracking everywhere. People getting checks were happy. people employed were happy. I get that. But unlike you, I wouldn't talk to a coal miner or owner if I wanted objective info on the cleanliness of coal. Once again, I guess we differ.

As usual christopher makes accusations that are not true. Did no "in depth interviews",did not "declare it safe",talked with local citizens who work in the industry and get a nice paycheck. You might want to get off your butt Pauly and go see for yourself! I did!

listen up people, JoeW, the Observer's greatest apologist and best investigative "reporter" took a tour of PA, and did in depth interviews with all the concerned parties, especially those making money off Fracking, and has declared it safe! What more do you need? Me personally, I'm not sure myself, since all the "evidence" I see is contradictory and coming from people with vested interests on both sides of the issue. I'll hold back for now, but I surely wouldn't trust any profit making industry's opinion. People who trusted Industry can no longer eat fish from lake Ontario!

so i ask again, what are you libs and green heads offering to replace the quadrillions of BTUs of oil , gas and coal ? Since noone answered , I can only assume ,like that woman on the stand on Perry Mason, just recently on TV folks, that you, like her , say I dont know, I dont know ! yep, the mind of a liberal. Intelligent in their own eyes , till a genius arrives , then in a moment of relativity , the liberal sees how stupid he actually is. Then the personal attacks begin. thats it in a nutshell folks, how liberals operate.

commentor, when you fill up at a gas station, buy something in a store, how do you think the product got there ? Did the govt make it ? nope. did the govt make the chemical industry ? Nope. You posters just want to know who i am for making such claims. Yet in the chemical world i am known the world over. People from europe and other places would travel to WNY to meet that chemist, steiner behind the products they were buying. There was oodles of money and risk, but steiner and his work conquered it all. Not one iota of help from the govt, all my science was private enterprise in origin. you are just aching to know who i am. From OR's, big box stores, small stores and the world steiner and his chemicals are there. A quote from a pleased customer, steiner, all you performance predictions turned out true ! from the attacks here, you libs cant imagine anyone doing something without the govt. the world was made by guys like me.

hey commentor, i am a nut ? lets see. You have not posted one refutation of any of my facts in the world of energy consumption. you have not posted one refutation of my physics quotes. In short, you only attacked me ! commentor , there are no scientists as looney as the liberals here. There are scientists just like on Bones who test to see what a problem is with chemicals. the posters here never met anyone like me but thats ok. Till i got into industry, i did not know much either. then, from my child like public education, my eyes were opened and i saw who did what. With people like christophers unions and media constantly bashing private enterprise, you can only think what you do commentor.

And this ladies and gentlemen is our proof...."commentor and mikedavs, we have no proof. Yes you do. The stuff you buy." Steinernut said so!! And he calls himself a scientist. That's not how scientists prove things.

Try and refute , you cant, all my physics quotes and statements, All from the masters of science. heisenberg, Bohr, einstein. Once again you name call like cronig. that aint science or debate. Its just being a liberal. try and think. I do . Its fun.

commentor and mikedavs, we have no proof. Yes you do. The stuff you buy. You would never know it unless i said something. Any analytical lab would easily find my work. But that involves science and you posters are not good at science. Its that simple. babble, hardly.now what you posters have NOT answered, commentor, mike davis, cronig, judeye is what are we gonna do to replace the heat from gas ? The LWV is akin to the WCTU for prohibition. The WCTU had no idea that illegal activity would arise, organized crime on a grand scale, corruption in govt too for booze. Gals were trafficked as prostitutes on a never before seen scale . All due to activist women. now they are back as the LWV and we can make a prediction if they ban fracking. Cold , starvation and poverty will increase. the LWV is clueless like the WCTU was 100 years ago.refute this if you can posters, cronig ?

Fracking concerns can be mitigated. The anti drilling group would prefer our energy costs to rebel the costs for LED lights... just tried to buy a lite-snowman for the front of the house... I along with your children moved to the south... and the cost for an LED snowman is over $5k. Go ahead and look for it on walmart . com and find out what Bush did for us and the LED fanatics.

Steinernut we have no proof of your scientific abilities or inventions. As I have said before if you were such a big important scientist you would be in a big city in a big state. You would not be babbling with posters on the podunk Observer newspaper. If you possessed such intelligence you would not be engaging in the mostly ridiculous babble that goes on here.

The Bush family didn't spend millions to buy the water rights to hundreds of thousands of acres in South America for nothing. I don't know if fracking is safe or not but the above fact alone makes me want to say stop until better, enviromentally safer, practices can be developed.

facts for you cronig, from gals themselves. Gals several times more likely to get depressed. get nervous disorders like the Leroy High school gals. they have used this succesfully in court cases as a defense. . Casey anthony used real science and the protesters were emotional. guys are inverted gals emotionaly and do not suffer from the wild mood swings of gals. Guys rule science. that cannot be a coincidence. it aint. so when you can refute this and you cant. maybe you will be taken seriously and you aint. all fom books, business journals and TV specials. Are they all right wing blockheads ? only in your mind cronig . only in your mind.

facts are jibberish to cronig. the liberal way to debate is to call someone a name, deflect the argument and go on frpom there. obama is doing the same thing on a national scale. Changing the tax rules on the tax exempts so they can only say the liberal line.all due to citizens united. And look cronig, another woman, lois lerner i think had to resign from the stir she caused. I bet she was trying to use nurture.please , quit the name calling diversion, i call you out on it and quote some real facts. I work in industry, i see the hydrocarbon use and depend on it. Green energy or saying misogynt wont keep us warm or fuel our cars. that list cronig ? The replacement for quadrillion btu cronig ? The lack of women in science ? Are all these questions misogynic or just facts. Cronig everyone here knows all you do is call names. Judeye quotes alleged facts, but knows NOTHING of what goes on in the oil patch or plants.

cronig you say nothing. My so called misogynic posts are facts right from history or women themselves. Yep , from women themselves. Ida Tarbell, carrie Nation, Maggie sanger historical people really goofing up society. from women rule****. Women dont understand the system or science we have. the facts from the big boy science club. the stuff you ate and bought in the store. the multi billion dollar companies i learned from, the multi million dollar analytical machines that i have used. All IGNORED by the ilk of you cronig and icono. the lack of women in science now trying to make life altering and financial impact decisions for millions. Sorry gals you dont know enuf. Cronig that list i keep asking for , the list of govt programs that gave us oil, gas etc. where is it ? Cronig , what are we gonna replace the quadrilluions of btus from oil and gas with. A texas green energy job costs a million and half in subsidies. When will you answer my pointed questions liberals ? you dont know

Steinerdzzz...being the "scientific" guy you claim you are, and given that observation is an integral and invaluable part of the scientific process, we all couldn't help but observe that of the 22 comments, you had 13 of them and they were all highly dismissive of women and misogynistic...

...which leads to the inevitable conclusion that you and your mumbling, incoherent gibberish are nothing more than a serious-mommy-issues village idiot with a dictionary, so you are part of the OBSERVER board.

hey icino, you bought my stuff in the store. My work saved 10,000 lives. If i never posted you would never have any one to name call. Who is the bigger fool icino ? the one who buys things unawares or the one who puts the stuff together for market ? the aromatics in food is true and legal. Everything in your house came from a chemical plant like the author says. it is you icono and the rest of the libs here who do NOT know and dont care to know how the world is working. Say what about those 18 million barrels of oil a day ? replace with gal power ? Gal science acheievments? well they are scant compared to the guys. Lets hear it icono. talk to cronig and get more rhetoric.

icoc answers in classic liberal fashion. A string of rhetoric. i got and get my facts from industry and experience.I learned from the greatest chemical minds in all of history. The ones that won WW2 with chemical wonders.I studied their works, talked to people who worked under them. Eveything i did can and was verified by independent testing labs. just like on Bones tv series. It is you icono who are so wonderfully and blissfully ignorant of the world and how it works. Nary a gal in the industry, the cancer scare must be it. So the guys make the big bucks and the gals make 77c . icono, you did not answer the real crux of the argument, what are we gonna replace the btus from fire with ? green energy ? PBS says thats not possible. PBS aint foxnews is it? You libs just dont know anything at all .icono say something of substance if you can.
