joey sure does spend a lot of time over at his "friend's" house. When I visit friends, I never ask if I can use their computers so I can view the latest comments on these blogs, then add mine under their name.

Well, we now have a clerar and consistant theme for our newly elected and redistricted County Legislators, and that's we are going to ride to prosperity on the backs of the poor. Why? because the idiot electorate gets all their "facts" from FOX "News" and such, most of it overblown BS, and actually believe that's the issue in this country. It isn't, but that's ok, this will be a good publicity issue for at least 10 years.

The helicopter, boat(s),and snowmobiles are not all about crime fighting, not even close. I suggest some do some research into there use over the past few years.

Talk is cheap. They best start thinking about their spending habits and fat salaries and benefits. The next step is bankruptcy!!!!

Was it Albany who told Sheriff Joe to build a county law enforcement empire 2nd to none, costing how much, $24M PER/YR? Did Albany force purchases for the latest state-of-the-art crime fighting equipment, such as boats, snowmobiles, (does it have a helicopter in its arsenal?), etc.

Did Albany force pay raises of 8.4% MORE than what it cost 4 yrs ago to the top 25 CC employees? These top 25 salaries equal $2.3M.

The CCLeg wants to sell CCH, claiming it costs too much to operate, therefore, it must be sold to "help" taxpayers??? What a bunch of hypocrites! Who approved all these pay raises? I'll give you a hint: it wasn't Albany.

The CCLeg has chosen to sacrifice our elderly so it can keep funding raises for both union & non-union employees. What services or assets will sold or abolished next to "help" taxpayers? I don't know about you, but I can't afford their "help."

Keep blaming Albany, it serves some CCLeg members well (for re-election), e

Hats off to Mr. Borrello for wanting welfare reform in any degree that we can get! NY state has long had the reputation of being the Cadillac of the welfare states because its welfare benefits exceed those of any other states. They indeed come with no intention of working because of the benefits. Their benefits for health care are better than what many of the working poor can get if they have insurance at all. The welfare bank should be closed to all who refuse to work except to have more kids so they get more money. It is a necessary program for those who are disabled in any way so that they can survive and be independent. The state govt. leaders do not want to reduce benefits because of the downstate constituents nor do they want to assume the funding of the mandates they issue. Time to support any effort at the local level to reduce costs.
