It's funny when people hit the "Disagree" button, as though it affects anybody. It really shows that there are really very stupid people that managed to learn how to hit the "Disagree" button. Facts are facts. And I stated fact.

That Volkswagen plant in TN wants the place to unionize, but unions in Europe are a whole lot different than in the U.S. Both sides would be happy with a workers' council, but supposedly that can't be done without a union. Why? The plant won't be going anywhere, least of all move to the northeast.

The south's welfare is paid for by the "liberal" states like New York. The reason they can give the hundreds of millions in tax breaks is a direct result of the federal tax dollars that the northern states support them with. Even with those huge tax breaks, companies still don't jump at the opportunity to move south. It does happen, but the nations economic engines are not in the south, they are in the "liberal" regions of the country.

Marcia, one plant.. one example. A lot of manufacturing has moved to the south, from both the north, and from overseas. Auto makers have plans in TN, GA, AL among other tax-friendly plains states like OK, NE.

I don't sgree with unions, but I'm not sure they are as much a problem as the taxes. There is no question the south is more business-friendly.

Broken promisis ??? I heard about: If you like your plan you can keep it", "If you like your doctor you can keep him/her" or " the raid was a spur of the moment thing by a crowd mad at a video". SOP for politicians children. But remember: " What difference does it make".

And Tennessee faces losing a plant because they voted against the union. Can't wait to see that happen.

READ WHAT I SAID...if UNIONS AND HIGH TAXES are the issue, and not GREED, why are jobs headed overseas instead of the lower taxed, non-union south, by people who've seen their incomes INCREASE by 200% in the last 2 decades? What does that have to do with being Liberal? Idiots.

Hey Steiner, if GREED isn't the reason and fuel behind present day economics, than why are we shipping jobs to 3rd world countries instead of those low taxed states here?

hey bob and christopher, if lower taxes are not an issue, then why the tax free zones for 10 years ? why the boom in other lower tax and lower regulation states. why the bust in detroit? Unions and taxes ya think ? why the jobs in the south ? right to work and lower regs. why the energy boom out west ? fracking is OK. So libs, get a reality check. If govt , taxes and unions made for prosperity, NY would be king. It is not. you libs just keep bleating the same stuff over and over again.yo have to be mentally challenged.

Wait we will. Christ will return and we will still be waiting. The political theory about lowering taxes to give the wealthy money to reinvest into their businesses is a theory that is a canard. And so we wait....
