The fact that BMH makes absolutely no effort to communicate with the community, and that the local media has to "chase them down", and still doesn't get any real answers, speaks volumes about the extreme lack of leadership at that facility.

c'mon rich, jay & kevin you've been at the hospital for along time, you know what needs to be done! get it back to the way it was! we had one ceo, one cfo & one hr person & a 14 million dollar surplus!

Hospitals all over the country are going through the same issue. They are all contracting and forming alliances to survive. Maybe the our area is victim to mismanagement, however this trend has been going on for years. It has be exacerbated lately by the changes by recent events i Washington.

it makes one wonder when you see what your inusrance company pays and what the patient has to pay and what Medicaid and Medicare have to pay that ANY health care institution can lose money!! I think Christopher is right when he says it boils down to administration. A good administrator can certainly make a difference.

Told you so. I told a LOT of you so. Ask around, see who forced Ketchum out, a good administrator, and put Lawrence in, who ran the place, along with Lakeshore, into the ground. It's a Medical group beginning with the letter "M". I tried to bring all that to the public's attention.
