PC: I agree. HORRIBLE management was the #1 reason for CCH's relatively minor deficit, though inadequate reimbursement rates contributed. As you've correctly pointed out before, it'll cost this county much more now that CCH is sold than had mgmt improved efficiencies and not sold it, but hey, they busted the CCH union, the CCLeg doesn't have to deal with it anymore, whether the level of care will improve or diminish remains to be seen, and most are happy about it?

The chain of events leading to the sale of CCH has revealed a shameful description of the people who live in this county.

It looks like our county home is not the only one with financial trouble. It sounds a conspiracy against all county homes every where. It must be mismanagement in the county homes, hospitals and just about everywhere. If you believe the one side of these issues you soon realize that we are all victims and that facts go out the door.

Hey, here's a thought, if the Observer wants to take a look at the issues of other counties, how about that todo with the sex offenders in 2 group homes? I have news for him, they're here too, right in Chautauqua County, as well as Cattaraugus County. State group homes are starting to fill up vacancies with people you would not want t live next door to. I mean, if you want to spread your wings, spread your wings!

Heck, Captain, JD can't even get his head wrapped around the fact that our local hospital situation is mostly a result of HORRIBLE management!

Is it true Edwards and Horrigan are part-time consultants for the Genesee County Legislature?

Now that the CCH has sold, is JD on a new mission, speaking out on behalf of all taxpayers facing similar privatization talks? If Gen Co does the same thing with its nursing home, maybe the selfish & heartless bastards in Chaut Co won't feel as guilty...NOT!

another step forward to separate government from being in business, and business being in government, we only hope that it's quick and painless, unlike the north county children tantrums that are still being expressed

Is the Genesee County Legislature run by the GOP too? Which would explain why they are looking, GOP believes in such a limited government from the 1920"2 that the expansion of government from the 1920's to date must be reversed. Grandpa running government!!!!!
