DKexpat, you are so right. I just can not wait to sell my home and get out of here. I work for a national company so relocation should not be to much of a problem for me. I am tired of these people reaching in my wallet and going on vacation. As the population shrinks, it looks like I am not the only one.

Look at the American Enterprise Institute's website - aei[dot]com for a study of what the average public employee pension is.

A private-sector employee would need a $1.2 - 1.3 million-dollar annuity to match what a 30-year public employee gets.

Its a long way for most of us to look up and see Gary Cerne and his $161,000 salary. Teachers retiring and pension costs increasing. Who do they think they are fooling. They are simply moving the expenses from one pool to another. The people should show up in droves to protest this assault on the taxpayer. These people will bankrupt the community if allowed.
