Looking at County leadership, and I use the term very loosely, why is anyone confident that this proposal for a water district is a good thing? The people running this dog and pony show are all loyal Edwards politicians who got rewarded on the way out. How much are they getting paid for their "efforts"? For elected officials in this group, are there ANY extra stipends being shelled out? Dunkirk has been run corruptly and badly for decades now. I haven't seen much improvement since the last elections. yet, on this one issue I agree with the Mayor, SLOW DOWN! Study carefully, but definitely stay off this band wagon before it becomes a very expensive runaway train.

hey Vicki, dont you know ? it was the govt, the govt !, and its employees that made America and NY great ! Yes, the govt and its dumb govt employees ! Forestville is going to experience an economic boom not seen since the Holland land company started selling land here. You TAX your way to prosperity along with a great many govt employees. dont forget teachers ! Our population is graying. if they pay taxes like my deceased parents did, the elderly will see hardly a tax increase. it is the young and restless that pay full share. They will move out. Vicki, did ya catch the declimnig student enrollment in erie county ? this after the stir from the Catholic school closings just announced. This area is experiencing a GREAT democratic boom. Which in real terms means it is in serious decline.it is our govt lovers, many of the posters here that made WNY go down the drain. that and the public unions. dont expect anything to change. the greed of the unions is immense.
