Your kids are NOT getting as "great education". They're getting a barely adequate education, and not just in Silver Creek. I assume some of the negatives are from BOE members or their families who support a school administration requiring parents to attend classes. And of course various school employees who would support anything their fearless leaders decide, stupid and dictatorial or not. As I said, I'd be hiring a lawyer.

STATE AID IS YOUR MONEY GENERATED ONLY BY YOUR TAXES. Our children are getting a great education, but are later forced to leave the area because there’s no jobs. There’s no jobs because of high taxes. Wake up people

Maybe if you were informed of what the meeting was about, instead of shooting your mouth off,it would have made more sense to you. But as you stated you don't have any kids in the district you are not even close in your assessment. But apparently having any informed information on this subject is no matter to you just to shoot your mouth off

Well, let's see, Silver Creek is the highest taxed community in Chautauqua County, and the only post here other than mine is defending the budget. You have what you deserve. And excuse me, REQUIRING parents to attend a class or their children are punished is ARROGANT and DICTATORIAL and BULLSH_T!!!! And I don't have to be a retired school administrator to know that. If I had kids attending that school I wouldn't attend the class but I would sue, allowing the school to spend MORE useless money!! I get so sick of people whining about taxes and then sitting back allowing nonsense like this to occur on a regular basis.

Christopher, unless you are a retired school administrator( which I doubt) you don't have a clue about what you are talking about... as usual. If you are a retired school administrator shame on you for shooting off your mouth because you should no better than to utter such trash.

BS. Make cuts, return the money to the reserves, leave the tax rise to the 2% limit. Maybe you could save some money by not demanding parents attend that idiotic class on Alcohol and Drug abuse? That could save a few bucks, and the Superintendent wouldn't look like such an arrogant and dictatorial fop.
