Instead of being an enabler she should be looking for ways to dissolve them. Their financial problems will not be corrected in 1 year. Next year they will still be insolvent.

So, this 50 grand will have no effect upon the tax rate they just passed. Isn't that special.

And if they come in under bid on the fire hall roof, rather then return the unused portion of the taxpayers gift money, they plan on using that too for further improvements that may not even be necessary. Emergency repair money not used for the intended purpose should be returned.

Gotta wonder how a roof gets so bad it leaks as if no one knows how to do maintenance.

If Steiner, JoeW, Concerned or myself were grant writers there would be no 50K. We would have discovered all the money long ago. The difference is we have a work ethic and have been gifted by our creator with a brain to recognize the truth. These grant writers pretend to be looking for money when their minds are likely a million miles away daydreaming. The taxpayer being hosed again.

Is this what you did Christopher is write grants? Your picture looked like a grant writer, a smiling care free former public employee who spent his days on wild goose chases. Once a month this grant writer may find a pearl and boast of their great accomplishment. By the end of the year, the taxpayers pay a terrible price for the grant writer paying for both the grant and the writer. This has to be one of the most foolish ideas ever. In the public sector, everything wears a different costume, but its all taxpayer money. How can so many people accomplish so little?

Hey Christopher, grant money, the stuff that's free. The public employees specialize in this area, even hiring grant writers to call upon the tooth fairy to provide sources of funding for pet projects. Soon we will all be on a steady tomato soup diet because we are toothless. You keep helping your friends in the public unions destroy us. I am totally convinced this is your purpose in life to punish people who work hard in the private sector.
