"We heard what he did. fool put it all on tape" And it still doesn't compare to the things your hero has done or has tried to do.

I don't believe that Nixon was instrumental in vacating portions of the US Constitution was he Judeye??? Think about that for a moment! You of course do realize that the President has sworn to uphold the laws of this country do you not?

Steiner...thought you had some memory difficulties..now I know it as fact

"nixon resigned for less."

what a joke. those of us who lived during that time know exactly what he did and why he had to resign and why he did not go to jail thanks to the pardon he received.

Good attempt at trying to say something hoping that too many would have no idea. Some of us watched those hearings like they were soap operas. We heard what he did. fool put it all on tape

Here is a fact and I'm sure that certain people will try and defend against and pass blame on to others. A recent Rasmussen Poll found that an astounding 70 percent of U.S. voters now say the country is heading down the wrong track. This is 2014,George Bush is not the President. People do not have jobs and the national debt is approaching 17 TRILLION dollars! Promising pouring almost a trillion dollars into the economy would fix it was BS!

Well he sort of had to do those DK, since the Republigiggles weren't going to allow him to pick his own staff. That being said, there's more than enough work to justify a full-time Congress. The attachments to Bills are a MUCH bigger issue. The recent Supreme Court decisions on political contributions is the final nail in the coffin.

Not living in the past, just not allowing the right wingers to blame everything on President Obama and Democrats, and you forgot to add "in my opinion" after saying Bush wasn't as bad as Obama. In my opinion and many others, Bush may have been one of the worst Presidents ever! As for the other politicians you mentioned, you left out Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz and more than a few others.

joew, one problem with a part-time Congress would be all those Obama recess appointments...

You go ahead and live in the past all you want Paul. I have never said that Bush was spotless, only that he was better then what we have now. For that matter Nixon and Carter were probably better then what we have now. But moving on why don't we deal with the losers from both parties that are holding office today. Like Obama, McConnell, Pelosi reid, and schumer.

I could see why you and your friends would like to do that, American. George Bush had more scandals than Obama, oversaw the total collapse of the economy, lost more American Embassy personnel in more than one attack than Obama, and all with a cooperative, same party majority in Congress. Yes, I could see why you'd like to leave him out of the equation. However, the subject is about ALL political candidates and their honesty. Sorry, you lose. As a matter of fact, to win any argument on political dishonesty, one need only say, "Dick Cheney!"

Only if Bush is still president. Last I knew he had been out of office for a few years. Can we stay current on who's in office please.

Shame on you joew :) You know that no left wing media would ever distort the truth, tell an outright lie any more then Obama would. e didn't lie about if you like your insurance you can keep it. The left just part of the details out. Such as IF it meets the lefts thinking of what you are supposed to like. Correct judeye?

What we will get is the best liar. They all lie and tell you what you want to hear. Even if they start out with the right intentions they cannot fight the party majority once they are elected.

DK I'll go you one better. The Congress should be a part time. One session in the spring and another in the fall, except in the case of a national emergency or a threat to our national security. Pay would be a salary plus Per Diem to offset travel, lodging, and incidentals costs.

Big dollars and special interests drive both parties, and big dollars are hijacking our elections. Example: 8,000,000 small donors gave about $500M to Romney and Obama – it only took 4,600 big donors to match that amount.

How about term limits for Congress? How about 12 years max – 2 terms in the Senate or 6 terms in the House – and then you’re out?

That might help with the mindset of (a) first, do what my big special-interest donors tell me to do; (b) second, do whatever I must to be reelected; (c) third, if there’s any time left after that, think about what’s best for the country.

If I could wave a magic weand and eliminate just ONE THING from National politics, I think I'd choose to make ALL Bills "stand alone", no more attachments! That's the source of most of the worst and most dishonest bills ever, including HUGE piles of "Pork" spending. Never again would anyone be able to pronounce how their opponent voted against "Child Healthcare", or some such inflammatory remark, leaving out the fact that there was an attachment to allow dumping higher levels of pollutants into rivers and streams, or some other such nonsense on that Bill. It happens daily.

By the time any candidate for high office is selected, any trend towards being honorable has been subverted by efforts to garner the needed support (IE: MONEY!) needed to actually win.

We need honorable candidates and then we need a system that allows them to get things done while staying that way. Deals behind close doors have ruined our system. Our politicians are so busy paying off their supporters with our tax dollars so they can get elected again, they forget what they stood for to began with. Lies and misdirects have become a way of life that we all contribute to every time we say there is nothing we can do. As long as it is not safe for them to tell the truth and still get the real work we need done, the truth will never come out. We are always so busy fighting about the people we forget that the job of the county, state, country is to SERVE the people.

stupid judeye, your public teacher union fights all the time to keep democratic ideals in our minds. I see you never comment on that lack of choice, only attacking the corporations who have made food abundant. another fact you missed judeye ! And judeye, if you are clever enough, you can build machines, i call them steinertrons and get the real food sustaining force, the strong force present in the foods. there must be something there judeye as most of what we eat passes out of us. the intestine contents are high in viscosity so if they aint near the villi, nothing will be absorbed. it cant. thats a scientific fact for clueless judeye ! but the gakls lag in science ! Judeye proves it every post.

more for judye and cronig, in the book i quoted bolow, it can be seen that co2 is not the primary thing you libs worry constantly about. since the scientists in the book won nobel prizes and made nuclear weapons , they can be considered factual as to whatever they said about reality. unlike algores nonsense about co2. so judeye and cronig. I have listed many goof ups by gals in history, that book woudl detail some more. the US gals were after the vote to mess things up. My favorite gal, fritz habers wife suicided over her hubbys science work. so judeye amd cronig, you might say, you like fritz habers wife, are on the fritz !goofing things up is a normal state of mind to you both !

cronig and judeye, you missed the berghdal negotiation. the furor it caused. the lack of notification by obama to congress. if nixon did that, there would have been calls again for his resignation. judeye, try responding to my facts. they are not fox news, but real science from real petrochem. the stuff you buy in the store and at a gas station.i know its difficult for you, saving the planet from a non existant threat. judeye, you just keep piping about the great things of the democratic party. you miss by choice, the civil war, KKK, jim crow,. great depression, carter years, vietnam . oh the great progressive pogroms by wilson during ww1 against his disagreers too ! stupid judeye, these are all facts ! facts from history and you ignore them ! and then accuse of others of ignoring facts when you do it the biggest of all here ! thats a liberal and a woman, confused at the core.
