Jamestown is a good place to start but the reality is that all law enforcement in the county should be transferred to the Sheriff's Dept. including Dunkirk and Fredonia. Of course the resistance will come from the powerful police unions who don't want the gravy train to stop. There are about 300 law enforcement officers in the county employed by seven full time agencies. All of those agencies are loaded with bureaucracy and duplications in equipment and manpower. We do not have big city problems in our rural county. What we do have is a big city payroll and it is killing the county.
