NEW YORK (AP) — Chelsea Clinton will be visiting two New York City neighborhoods badly damaged by Superstorm Sandy almost exactly one year after the storm wreaked havoc on them.
The Clinton Foundation says Saturday the former first daughter will visit two locations, one in Rockaway, Queens and the other on Staten Island. Clinton is set to break ground on the future site of a so-called resilient house. The home is specially designed to be energy efficient and withstand future storms at a reasonable cost.
Clinton is expected to join the home's future owners and offer remarks.
This is the second Sandy-related 'Day of Action' the Clinton Foundation has sponsored, working with thousands of volunteers.
