NEW YORK (AP) — Police in New York City are investigating after an elderly woman crossing the street was hit by a man driving a motorcycle, killing both in the collision.
Police say the accident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Sunnyside section of Queens.
Investigators believe the 78-year-old woman was crossing north on a street as 31-year-old Darien Baker of Yonkers, N.Y., was driving a white 2013 Suzuki motorcycle westward on Queens Boulevard.
They say Baker collided with the woman.
Both Baker and the unidentified woman were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center where they were pronounced dead.
