John H. and Georgina M. (Mancuso) Palermo of Fredonia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge on July 13. The dinner/dance was hosted by their children - Julie (David) Mueller of Hamburg, Patricia (Michael) Wilcox of Cary, Ill., and Melissa (Charles) Sevola of Randolph, N.J. - and their eight grandchildren.
The couple was married at St. Anthony's Church in Fredonia on Jan. 25, 1958. They returned there on July 13 for a family Mass and received a special anniversary blessing from Father C.J. Westfield.
Mrs. Palermo is a retired secretary of SUNY Fredonia. Mr. Palermo retired as a senior general accountant from Al Tech Specialty Steel Corp.
