August 16, 2008
The OBSERVER

Fredonia native Jennfier Stuczynski made history at the Summer Olympic games in Beijing.

Stuczynski competed in the women's pole vaulting competition in an effort to make it to the finals, which will begin at 7:20 a.m. EST Monday.

It has been a tremendous ride for our local athlete and residents. Stuczynski qualified for the Olympic games in Eugene, Ore., on July 6. It was there she set the American record at 16 feet and 1 3/4 inches.
