Mr. and Mrs. Al Baker

Al and Elsie (Taylor) Baker of Canandaigua, formerly of Gowanda, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Aug. 21, 1943 in Valparaiso, Ind., where Mr. Baker was stationed during a period while in the U.S. Army. The Rev. Albert Swasko officiated. Dorothy Richter Lincoln of Cherry Creek and John Echoes of Tuscaloosa, Ala., were the attendants.

The couple has two daughters - Jayne Bobsein (Jack) of Canandaigua and Judy Baker (Michael Long) of Houston. They also have four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
