n Fernando Vega-Hernandez, 28, of Main Street, Dunkirk was charged Aug. 18 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Further investigation showed Vega was an illegal immigrant and he is being held at Chautauqua County Jail.
n Johanna Cortes, 28, of Lincoln Avenue, Dunkirk was charged Aug. 20 with grand larceny.
n Seth Payne, 20, of Clarence was charged Aug. 19 with violation of a noise control ordinance.
n Justin Tate, 23, of Hamburg was charged Aug. 19 with driving while intoxicated, a first offense. A court date was set for Sept. 10.
n Jordan Miller, 20, of Gillis Street was charged Aug. 20 with harassment and trespassing.
n Daniel Tytka, 20, of White Street and Adam Jessie, 18, of Leming Street, Dunkirk were both charged Aug. 22 with disorderly conduct. Jessie was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
n Michael Cummins, 21, of Rochester was charged Aug. 23 with criminal mischief after reportedly punching glass out of an apartment building window on East Main Street.
n Nicholas Gardone, 20, of Fairport was charged Aug. 23 with public urination for urinating on the front of M&T Bank.
n Justin Ramsey, 20, of Cleveland Avenue was charged Aug. 23 with unlawful possession of alcohol and violation of an open container along with Joshua Shelden, 20.
n Todd Heatley, 27, of East Main Street was charged Aug. 24 with menacing with a weapon along with Harley Tong, 27, who was also charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury after the two were involved in an altercation.
n Jason Tomkiewicz, 32, of Eagle Street was charged Aug. 24 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
n Russell Leone, 19, of Route 60 was charged Aug. 25 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
n Mathew Evans, 22, of Boonville was charged Aug. 27 with trespassing along with Gregory Gebhard, 22, of Grand Island and Joshua Martin, 22, of Syracuse.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
n HANOVER - Amanda G. Brennan, 22, of Versailles Road, Silver Creek was charged Tuesday with speeding and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Deputies said Brennan was stopped on Route 5 & 20 for going 71 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour speed zone.
A check of her license revealed her driving privileges had been suspended.
The charges are to be answered in Hanover Town Court.
n BROCTON - Aaron J. Clark, 21, of Fredonia was injured Monday in a motorcycle accident on East Main Street in Brocton.
Deputies said Clark was westbound when he touched the brakes to slow down and it appears the front brakes locked up.
After a short skid, Clark lost control of the bike, laying it on its side.
The bike and Clark rolled on the payment for about 50 feet before coming to a stop.
He was transported to Westfield Hospital for treatment of what were described as minor injuries.
Clark did not have a motorcycle license and was ticketed for this violation.
n MAYVILLE - Two people featured on the Chautauqua County Wanted Persons list are in custody.
Shannon M. Roche, 22, of Dunkirk was wanted for possession of a forged instrument.
She was arrested in North Carolina and is currently being held in North Carolina jail, facing extradition charges back to Chautauqua County.
Richard J. Whalen Jr., 30, of Jamestown was wanted for third-degree criminal mischief.
He turned himself in and is currently being held in Chautauqua County Jail.
The names of both have been removed from the wanted list.
n HANOVER - A two-vehicle accident Tuesday on Route 5 & 20 injured Richard J. Wozniak Jr., 21, of Mechanic Street, South Dayton.
Deputies said he was attempting to make a left turn onto Beebe Road when he was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Kathleen Spence, 38, of the Fredonia-Stockton Road, Fredonia.
Spence told officers her brakes malfunctioned.
Wozniak was transported to Lake Shore Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.
Spence was ticketed for following too closely and inadequate brakes.
n HANOVER - William D. Reed, 52, of King Road, Forestville, was injured Wednesday in an accident when he lost control of the vehicle he was operating on King Road for an unknown reason.
Deputies said Reed's vehicle went off the roadway then traveled about 150 feet through a ditch, overturning several times.
According to the accident report, Reed did not complain of any injuries but was transported by Starflight to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
No charges were filed.
n ELLERY - Jeremy Lampman, 38, of Ashville, was charged Sunday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to keep right.
Deputies said he was stopped on Route 430 for failure to keep right and the investigation revealed his New York driver's license had been suspended.
n CLYMER - Nathan R. Ulrich, 27, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with second-degree harassment.
Deputies said they were called to a residence on the Clymer-Sherman Road regarding a disorderly male, who had left the scene before they arrived.
The resident of the home alleges Ulrich verbally threatened him and physically harassed him by pushing him down.
Ulrich was located at his residence on Tuesday and was issued an appearance ticket for Clymer Town Court.
n MAYVILLE - Aaron A. Davis, 39, of Brocton was featured on the Chautauqua County Wanted Persons list for violating probation for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was arrested in Buffalo and is currently being held in Erie County Jail.
Davis will be brought back to Chautauqua County when his Buffalo sentence in completed.
His name has been removed from the wanted list.
State Police at Fredonia
n ARKWRIGHT - On Saturday, Aug. 30 Brian Blasdell of Collins and Jamie Blasdell of Forestville were charged after allegedly pulling into a New York State trooper's driveway to ask for directions to Forestville.
Upon investigation it was found that each were intoxicated. Jamie, the alleged driver of the vehicle, was charged with no seat belt and facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Jamie had a revoked license for a previous DWI.
Brian, who was charged with driving while intoxicated, had two prior felony convictions for DWI and was also charged with a felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and no seat belt. Brian was arraigned in the town of Stockton court and remanded to county jail on $2,000 cash bail. He was to appear in town of Arkwright court on Sept. 4.
n On Sept. 1 Virginia Bickhart of Swamp Road called police regarding her daughter, Darlene Vacanti, 46, of Jamestown, who entered the Bickhart residence and remained there unlawfully. Vacanti told police it was her home, but upon further investigation, was found to be owned by her Bickhart who desired to press charges for criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Vacanti was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
Westfield Police
n Robin S. Diers, 27, of Brocton, was charged with larceny on Saturday. Police were called to CVS where store employees had detained Diers after she was allegedly observed shoplifting several items totalling $122.
n Theodore A. Macri Jr., 35, of South Dayton, was arrested on a warrant. Macri was wanted for failure to pay and failure to appear on previous charges in the city of Jamestown.
n Cynthia E. Stewart, 45, was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to stay right on Thursday. Stewart was driving through the town in the early morning and crossed the center roadway marking. Upon investigation Stewart was allegedly found to be intoxicated.
Silver Creek Village Court
n Anthony G. Borrello, 67, of Babcock Avenue, was arraigned on local law violations of property maintenance and storage of motor vehicle. He will return to court Oct. 1.
n Frank N. Borrello Sr., 65, of Robinson Street, was arraigned on a local law violation of property maintenance.
n Raymond Charry Sr., 81, of Washington Street, pleaded guilty to dog running at large and paid a $50 fine.
n Marcelino Cintra, 25, of Irving, pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
n Timothy S. Griffith II, 22, of Dunkirk, pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment and was fined $185.
n Michael J. Jakubowicz, 25, of Dunkirk pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
n Vincent W. Johnson, 16, of Washington Street, received a six-month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief and was ordered to pay $70 restitution. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $200. He also pleaded guilty to trespass and was fined $225.
n Chelsea M. Richter, 18, of Forestville, received a six-month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a charge of possession of marijuana.
n Edward L. Rodgers Jr., 30, of Angola, was arraigned for driving while intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance to return to court Oct. 1.
n Devin J. Smith, 16, of Dunkirk, received a six-month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a charge of criminal possession of stolen property.
