Westfield Police Department

A 17-year-old Westfield youth was charged with underage possession of alcohol on Saturday. Police responded to a possible prowler complaint and spoke with the youth, who was a possible suspect. Further investigation found that the youth allegedly had a bottle of Vodka.

A 17-year-old Westfield youth was charged with petit larceny on Tuesday. Officers were called to Lake County Dairy where the youth allegedly stole a butane lighter from the counter.

Brandon Eimers, 18, of Sherman, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Oct. 27. An officer on patrol observed a speeding vehicle on Main Street. After further investigation, driver Eimers was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana.

Hanover Town Court filed for October

HANOVER - The Hanover Town Court reported 260 cases for October, totaling $24,862.50 in court fines and fees. There were 213 vehicle and traffic cases, 11 criminal cases, and three small claims cases. The court also reported three bail poundage fee, nine part-fines and 18 suspension fees. Court justices filed two certificates of disposition and performed one arraignment for another court.

City of Dunkirk Court

The City of Dunkirk Building Inspector's office has received favorable rulings in four cases it brought in city court.

Javier Diaz paid a fine of $100 for failing to remove an unregistered vehicle from 608 Deer St.

Robert Brewer paid a fine of $100 for failing to paint property located at 14 N. Gazelle St.

Robert Swank paid a fine of $600 for failure to paint a residence, repair a porch and clean refuse from property located at 434 Deer St.

Rosa Rios paid a $100 fine for failing to repair a gutter at 103 Lake Shore Drive West.

In addition to the fines, each paid a $50 court surcharge.
