HANOVER - Alexis Marrero-Kullen, 26, of Ruggles Street, Dunkirk was charged Friday with petit larceny.
Deputies said he allegedly stole a cell phone and some money from an employee's purse in an office at Lake Shore Hospital.
Marrero had received treatment at the hospital and was waiting for a ride home when the theft occurred.
The cell phone has been recovered and Marrero has given a statement admitting to the theft.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Hanover Town Court.
HANOVER - Michael P. Armstrong, 40, of Grant Avenue, Dunkirk was charged Friday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and having an inadequate muffler.
Deputies said he was stopped on Route 5&20 in the Town of Hanover for the inadequate muffler and a check of his license indicated his license had been suspended.
The charges are to be answered in Hanover Town Court.
Bradley D. Barmore, 20, of the Gerry Ellington Road, Gerry was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and underage possession of alcohol.
Deputies said Barmore was stopped on Route 60 in the Town of Pomfret for crossing the fogline and the investigation led to the DWI charge.
He also was cited for having a blood alcohol content greater that .08 percent.
When a quantity of beer was found in the vehicle, Barmore and his passenger, Tyler J. Bailey, 20, of Clymer were charged with underage possession of alcohol.
These charges are to be answered in Pomfret Town Court.
KIANTONE - Jenny Volgstadt, 17, of Frewsburg was slightly injured Saturday in a one-vehicle accident on Frissell Road in Kiantone.
Deputies said she lost control rounding a curve in the road causing it to leave the road, hit a mailbox and then a utility pole.
She was taken to WCA Hospital for treatment of what was described as minor injuries.
She was ticketed for failure to maintain lane.
JAMESTOWN - Sandra A. Bailey, 41, of Celoron has been charged with third-degree grand larceny.
A joint investigation by the sheriff's department and social services led to her arrest for allegedly failing to report household income.
Because of this she received $8,054 in Medicaid benefits she and her family were not entitled to.
The charge is to be answered in Jamestown City Court.
