Leo and Patricia (Simoneit) Gassman of Gowanda are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Dec. 6, 1958 by Father Liptak at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo.
The couple has five children - Lynda (Daniel) Weber of Forestville; Joseph (Judy) Gassman of Melbourne, Fla.; Barbara (Bert) Wilkins of Gowanda; Michael (Joann) Gassman of Collins; and David (Charlene) Gassman of Caledonia.
They have 12 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Following a private family party, a 50th anniversary celebration Mass was held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Gowanda on Saturday.
