Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ward

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ward of Hamburg, celebrated their 60th anniversary with family and friends at the Roycroft Inn in East Aurora on Saturday, April 25. Marian Fredrickson and Donald Ward were married at the Cassadaga Baptist Church in Cassadaga on April 16, 1949.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Fredrickson, wore a white satin gown and fingertip veil borrowed from her sister, Mrs. Lillian (John) Washington. Mrs. Barbara (Bruce) Ward, in yellow sharkskin, was Maid of Honor, and Harold Ward was Best Man. Ted Fredrickson and Bruce Wagner were ushers. Mr. Clifford Olson of Jamestown was Master of Ceremonies at the reception, and the bride's sisters Lillian and Mrs. Joan Buchanan poured. The couple left the reception for a honeymoon in Niagara Falls.

Marian and Donald graduated from Cassadaga Valley High School in 1946. They have three children, Thomas (Suzanne) of Millbrook, Kristine of West Falls and David (Karen) of Orchard Park, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Ward is vice-president of Grever & Ward, Inc. of Orchard Park, and Mrs. Ward is the retired treasurer.
