George C. Jr. and Alberta B. Tadt celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner at the White Inn attended by family members. Afterward, a reception was held at the Tadt residence.
On June 11, 1949, the daughter of Elbert and Flossie Blodgett and the son of George Sr. and Georgine Tadt were united in marriage at the Fredonia Methodist Church. The Rev. Delbert Jolley officiated.
Attendants were Robert Tadt, Roger Smith, Laverne Inwood Jr., Ann Blodgett, Jessie Smith and Lucille Paschke.

The couple have four children: Jeffrey Tadt of Bath and Karen K. (Jen) Merrill, Nancy L. (Kirk) Miller and Julie E. (Doug) Essek, all of Fredonia; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Tadt is a retired Fredonia Postal Service employee.
Mrs. Tadt retired from the Big "E" Bank.
