Last summer, a heavy rainfall led to major flooding in parts of the village, at right, destroying and damaging homes and cars. Also damaged in the flooding was a village Department of Public Works facility. Earlier this month, the board decided to purchase the former Bentges building in the town of Hanover - outside of the village limits - to use as their new DPW facility.
