Pomfret is the largest town in terms of population in Chautauqua County. On Thursday, the state comptroller's office issued a report critical of the water and sewer operations. In all, more than 11 million gallons of water, which total $34,000, are unaccounted for. Not good news for a town that is adding to its water district.
