The Firehouse on the Lake in Silver Creek was the setting for the beach-themed wedding of Dan Moyer and Ashley Tallchief on May 22, 2010. Pastor Vern Saile of the Gowanda Free Methodist Church performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Sandy Rogers and Charles Tallchief of Gowanda, and the stepdaughter of Wesley Warrior of Gowanda. She is the granddaughter of Beverly Rogers and Rod Rogers of Perrysburg and Ester Tallchief of Lawtons. The groom is the son of James and Betty Moyer of Gowanda, and the grandson of Donald and Betsy Moyer and the late Gordon and Bertha Henderson, all of Cattaraugus.
The bride was escorted by her mother. She carried a "bouquet" of seashell flowers. Rhonda Wakelam of Texas was chosen as maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Kathleen Hirschman, Alex Omicioli, friends of the bride and Beth Moyer, sister of the groom, all of Gowanda. The maid of honor and the bridesmaids wore flip flops and also carried seashell "bouquets."

Carrying a sand pail of seashells, Ava Tallchief, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. Damen MacLeod, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Dan Cooper of Gowanda served the groom as best man. Groomsmen (all wearing sandals) were Adam Kelley of Falconer, Garrett Hirschman of Gowanda and Pete Ellis of Florida, all friends of the groom.
The reception was held at Firehouse on the Lake, adorned with beachy decorations. The three-tiered cake was decorated with seashells and starfish to complement the theme.
The bride is a graduate of Gowanda High School and Houghton College in Houghton. She is currently working at Someplace Like Home Daycare in Gowanda. The groom is a graduate of Gowanda High School and ITT Technical Institute in Amherst. He is currently employed at Goode's Restaurant in Collins and The Dough Factory in Gowanda.
Following a trip to the Thousand Islands, the couple is at home in Gowanda.
