Robert and Dorothy Winterberger of Forestville were married Oct. 11, 1945 in Dunkirk. Wedding attendants were Thomas Kinney and Elsie O'Connor Damon.
Mr. Winterberger is the son of Ralph and Ethel Winterberger. Mrs. Winterberger is the daughter of John and Otilla O'Connor, longtime owners of the meat market in Cassadaga, where Nordi's Pizza is now located.
Mr. Winterberger attended Purdue University. He is retired from Kraft Foods, Dunkirk. Mrs. Winterberger attended Cassadaga High School. She is a homemaker.

The couple's children include Mrs. Maureen Carroll (deceased); Michelle Winterberger (deceased); Mrs. Janet Gaylord, Saranac Lake, N.Y.; Celeste Winterberger, Raleigh, N.C.; Mr. Shawn Winterberger, Raleigh, N.C.; Elyse Brown, Norfolk, Va.; Mrs. Heidi Payne-Hefty, Fredonia. They have 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Winterberger celebrated their anniversary with family and friends at their home. Guests attended from Rochester, Saranac Lake, Raleigh, Norfolk and Ravenna, Ohio.
