October 16, 2010
Observer Today

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Washington Avenue in Dunkirk, will have the yearly communal celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick on Saturday, Oct. 23 at an 11:30 a.m. Mass. Even if you are not to be anointed with the sacrament, family members and friends are invited to attend and join in prayer for all those who will be anointed. Candidates for anointing include all those who are in their senior years of life; or those who are about to undergo surgery to correct a serious illness, or anyone with a serious illness.

If anyone needs transportation to and from the church, this can be arranged by phoning the rectory at 366-1750. There will be a committee of people to register those to be anointed at the entrances to the church. A name tag will be given to identify those who wish the anointing sacrament.

A luncheon will follow at the school hall. Everyone is welcome to attend this gathering.
