Zumba comes to the Chautauqua County Home starting in December

November 19, 2010
The OBSERVER

Zumba is coming to the Chautauqua County Home. Licensed instructor Susan Chaffee and some of her Zumba participants will be doing a Zumba demonstration for the residents of the Chautauqua County Home on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 2:15 p.m.

"Zumba has many benefits," Chaffee said. "Zumba allows you to enjoy 'fun' with a busy schedule, reduce stress, burn fat, smile for an entire hour, maintain a healthy weight, build endurance and coordination, tone every major muscle of your body, increase circulation and flexibility, strengthen your heart and lungs, gain confidence, and you can burn up to 1,000 calories!"

Chaffee was one of the first licensed Zumba instructors to bring Zumba to the Dunkirk/Fredonia area almost two years ago. She is also a certified group fitness instructor through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. If interested in the Zumba fitness program, contact her at 244-3472, e-mail zumbawithsue@hotmail.com or visit www.zumbawithsue.com. Zumba fitness classes are held at the Fredonia First United Methodist Church in Fredonia on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m.

There are a plethora of local Zumba classes. Zumba Gold is also in the area taught by Zumba Gold instructor Jean Sutton, 366-8579. A Zumba class is taught in Brocton by instructor Dena Jo Brown, 680-0131, and in Silver Creek by instructor Sara Davis, 410-2040. For more local classes, see the OBSERVER's daily Community Calendar listings.
