SINCLAIRVILLE - Site Manager Paul Derkovitz hosted a program on genealogy for those attending the Sinclairville 76ers luncheon. Guest speaker Susan Fredrickson Washington Sipos of Cassadaga was the speaker for the topic. Sipos is a member of the Chautauqua County Genealogical Society.
The talk gave people information on where to begin when doing genealogy work and Sipos said begin writing everything down now. She had genealogy forms and lists of computer sites, easily accessed through the public library. Sipos displayed magazines on the subject and books of instructions. She showed some of the family genealogy records that she has put together herself through the use of the computer and family discussions.
Derkovitz extended appreciation to Sipos for her talk, and also for her work on computer graphics and typing of the Meals on Wheels menus. Derkovitz said Sipos is one of the many volunteers who work behind the scenes to help the program.
