Cassadaga residents Clarence Merow and his wife, the former Emma Hotchkiss of Sinclairville, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 22, 2010.
The couple was married in Sinclairville's Federated Church, which later became the Methodist Church, on East Street in the village.
The Rev. Larkin performed the ceremony with Eleanor Hope and Edward Hughes as witnesses.

Recalling their wedding, Emma said they planned to honeymoon in Cleveland, Ohio, but got as far as Erie when she said, "Let's go to grandmother's instead."
So they turned around and headed for Rochester where they did, indeed, spend their honeymoon with Emma's grandmother.
They bought their home on Dale Drive in Cassadaga where they raised their two children, Dale, who now lives in Moon Township outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Darlene, who lives in Oakville, Ontario, which is outside of Toronto.
The Merows also have six grandchildren and 12 great-grand children.
