A male tractor-trailer driver died this morning at 8:30 after the rig he was driving hit a train carrying passengers on Middle Road in the city of Dunkirk.
Dunkirk Police, Dunkirk Fire, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department and the New York State Police were on the scene.
The train, which was part of an Amtrak passenger train, was damaged as well. There was no report of injuries to the passengers, however, the engine of the train was damaged in the accident, according to WDOE-AM.
