An internal audit done for the school board has brought criticism regarding mileage reimbursements and other employee expenses. Last week, the school board made the report public, which led to plenty of questions from community residents as well as neighboring districts. "Once again, the district's Board of Education and administration wish to express their appreciation for your assistance during this audit," the district's response concluded, "which will no doubt benefit the district and its taxpayers by identifying additional ways to strengthen the district's financial operations."
