The Fredonia Hillbillies (23-0, 6-0) used six pins and two technical falls to claim their sixth consecutive CCAA Division 1 high school wrestling crown with a 57-18 victory over Gowanda (4-2) on Wednesday.
It marks the second straight year the Hillbillies finished with an undefeated season.
"It's nice to have that league championship out of the way," Fredonia coach Alex Conti said. "Now we can move forward. I am very proud of the boys. This group has put together a few wins in a row. I am glad they keep battling everyday in practice."

Highlighting Fredonia's victory was Jude Gardner recording his 100th career victory as he pinned Ryan Pope in :30.
"I am pretty pleased for Jude," Conti said. "He has battled real hard. He is a sophomore and to get 100 wins this early is great for him. It's the tip of the ice berg for him. He has all the potential to reach 200. He keeps giving us solid performances on the mats and in practice. I am real pleased with him. He works hard and is a great kid. It's nice to see him get the wins that he deserves."
Christian Saden got things started for Fredonia as he pinned Anthony Farley in 1:15 of the 215-pound division. Ben Woods followed that up with a pin in 2:40 over Craig Seneca at 285.
