Cynthia S. Griffis and James D. Ellman announce their engagement. Griffis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Lewetzki of Dunkirk. Ellman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James V. Ellman of Dunkirk.
The bride-to-be is a 1987 graduate of Dunkirk High School. She is a medical billing auditor for Mitchell International based out of San Diego, Calif.
The prospective groom is a 1986 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a 2007 graduate of New York State Academy of Fire Science. He is a firefighter for the city of Dunkirk and is also the co-owner of Ellman's Garage, Inc.
