Silver Creek Seniors
SILVER CREEK - Silver Creek Seniors met Tuesday on Route 5 with 20 members attending. President Ed Newman opened the meeting with all reciting the pledge to the flag and Chaplain Irene Conny presenting a prayer "A Conversation with God." Prayers are needed for Julie Anger and Ernie Hilliker. A message of sympathy was given for Jennifer League and family, her husband Corey died Jan. 28, 2011, granddaughter of Clara Griffin.
Minutes of last meeting were read and passed as presented. The financial report was given by Treasurer Lorrie Newman and the petty cash report by Joyce Snyder.
Weekly drawings were won by Rose F. and John K. The Hole Parker drawing was won by JoAnne Martin. The 50/50 drawing was won by Dorothy M., Mary Ann and Iva M.
Jokes were presented by John Krestic. Bingo was called by Joan S.
Refreshments for Feb. 8, will be done by JoAnn M. Mary Ann S., Dorothy M., Joan S. and Jane P. will provide soups. Lorrie N. will provide bread, oyster crackers and butter. Conny and Griffin will bake cake and brownies.
