EVANS (AP) - Authorities say the body of an 18-year-old woman who went missing in western New York has been found near where her car was discovered.
Earlier searches had turned up Angel Leverenz' purse and other personal effects along the banks of a creek leading to Lake Erie.
Police tell WIVB-TV that her body was found by fishermen near a train trestle Friday morning. She'd been reported missing on March 21 after she went out with friends and didn't return to her Angola home.
Her car was found several days later with the keys in the ignition on a rural road in the town of Evans, 15 miles south of Buffalo.
The cause of her death has not been determined and the investigation is continuing. Police earlier described her disappearance as a missing persons case without any indications of foul play.
