Mike and Judy Burghardt of Silver Creek announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Lyn Burghardt, to Scott Michael Schulte, son of Bob and Jean Schulte of Medina, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is a 1996 Silver Creek Central School graduate. She earned her bachelor of health sciences degree in 2000 and master's of physician assistant degree in 2001 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. She currently works in cardiovascular surgery at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pittsburgh.
Her fiance graduated from Medina High School in 1997 and is a 2001 graduate of Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C., with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He also earned a master's of physician assistant degree from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa., in 2008. Scott is also a cardiovascular surgery P.A. employed at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, W.Va.
