United Senior Citizens

The United Senior Citizens met on Monday at the Fredonia Beaver Club with 106 people present.

President Charles St. George introduced new members. They are Vincent and Annette DeCosta, Nancy Mitchell and Marilyn Nalepa.

He then introduced guests Mary Lisa, Mary Ann Thompson and Pam Wlodarek.

Charles St. George led in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the Invocation given by Norma St. George.

Lunch was then enjoyed by all which was prepared by the Beavertail Catering.

After lunch, the 50/50 drawings was held. Winners were Elizabeth Baldwin, Josephine Christopher, Ray Halasinski, Ann Kurgan, Mary Lewandowski, Arlene Pachol, Florence Rich, Olive Rusch, Samuel Sasso, Mary Ann Thompson and Pam Wlodarek.

The meeting began by thanking the May calling committtee. They were Dorothy Hilliker, Ann Kaminski, Lewandowski, Gen Ludeman, Lucille Rizzo and Josephine Wierczynski.

The calling committee for July was picked. They are Hilliker, Wierczynski, Elizabeth Baldwin, Mary Lisa, Josephine Lautenslaker and Jerry Pomroy.

"Happy Birthday" was sung to June birthday members. They are Charles Alaimo, Ann Kurgan, Allen Jones, Gerri Pomroy, Gert Majka and Lisa.

Congratulations were extended to Harry and Gen Ludeman for the 60th wedding anniversary.

The treasurer's report was given by Mayme Joy and accepted.

The club's next luncheon will be on July 11 at the Beaver Club. The menu will be chicken ala king, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, tossed salad, dessert and coffee. The price for July is $7.

The club received a thank-you card from Theresa Lisa's daughter for the Mass said in memory of her mother.

Bingo was played, hosted by Carrie LoGuidice and Joy.
